What is a Micro-Marketing-Agency and Should You Consider Working With One?
Although I am (and always will be) a graphic designer, I do work with a small team who assist me to get more done in a shorter period of time. This can mean assisting with copywriting, social media calendar creation, and more. Having said that, I consider my operation a Halifax-based marketing agency, but not in the way that you might expect.
I call my operation a micro marketing agency because, although we do offer a "full-service marketing approach", including branding, web design, social media management, and video production, we don't have as big of a team as many traditional agencies, which means that we are able to keep our costs considerably lower while offering a quality service and helping our clients to stay ahead with their marketing efforts just the same.
A lot of small-medium sized businesses that tend to make best use of this service are those that are in need of branding & marketing assistance, but don't yet have the budget or capacity for an in-house marketing team or full-sized marketing agency. Another term I like to use is fractional marketing team.
Off the top of my head, here are a few ways that we help our clients:
Logo creation, style guide creation
Website creation, hosting and maintenance
Social media content creation, content calendar creation and approval, and scheduling
Video production - great for client testimonials, corporate communications, explainers, social media content, website content, advertising content etc.
General graphic design assistance ie. traditional marketing (billboards, print materials, etc.)
Print product management (banners, brochures, business cards, mailouts, etc.)
So as you can see, we do take a similar approach that a traditional marketing agency would, but without the need for expensive overhead, additional team members, office bars, etc.
Our portfolio speaks for itself, so if it is speaking to YOU, please don't hesitate to drop us a line, so we can begin brainstorming about your next big project.
